Story Standing bar with accommodation facility: a new journey and a chance to meet new people are waiting for you here by JNTO on 01 September 2017

A new style-facility where a standing bar is on the 1st floor and 2nd to 3rd floors are dormitories has opened in the last June. A rare find in Japan, this facility was established by the owner aiming at inspiring and encouraging young people to meet new friends and find new inspiration at this place.
The system is very simple and reasonably priced. With 1,000 yen, you can buy four tickets and each ticket is exchangeable with one food or drink item. Some recipe on the menu are from actual tourist spots in Fukuoka, and the information is listed on the menu sheet. After the meal you can use the menu sheet as a sightseeing map and you get lot of hints to enjoy your trip.
The dormitory has four types of rooms: a “mix dormitory” a “female dormitory” a “group dormitory”, for up to eight people; a “private dormitory” room with a private bathroom. Thanks to a built-in staircase between the beds instead of a steep ladder, you don’t have to worry about bothering other guests with your footsteps and difficulty going up and down. About 30% of the guests are international visitors from overseas and English, Chinese and Korean speaking staff is available, so you can enjoy the place at ease.
