A kayaking tour on Lake Shikaribetsu’s jade-colored waters

Known as the only natural lake in Daisetsuzan National Park, Lake Shikaribetsu sits at 810m above sea level, which is the highest in all of Hokkaido. Surrounded by a primeval forest, the jade-colored waters are a perfect location to enjoy a special kayak ride through the incredible environment Hokkaido offers. Paddle through the lake as you heal your soul with the majestic scenery of Hokkaido’s nature and the sound of birds chirping and trees swaying in the wind.

When to go: June through August
