The Uminami Road is a 152-kilometer-long cycling course along National Route 9, which runs east-west on the coast of the Sea of Japan in Tottori Prefecture.
If you want to savor all the charms Tottori has to offer, this is the perfect course for you. This route is beginner-friendly; it runs mostly straight, and is very well-marked, making it easy to avigate.
Along the route, you will find Tottori’s top tourist attractions like the Tottori Sand Dunes and the Mizuki Shigeru Road, as well as many hot springs. Must-try local foods include gyukotsu (beef bone broth) ramen and fresh seafood from the Sea of Japan.

Access

 

From Yonago Airport, take a 15-minute bus ride to one of major starting points of the Tottori Uminami Road. Yonago Airport is connected to Haneda Airport by direct flights.
