Oboke Gorge River Cruises 大歩危峡観光遊覧船

Small riverboats cruise through some of the calmer waters in the Oboke canyon, giving passengers a chance to appreciate the natural beauty of the scenic river valley.

You can purchase tickets for the boat ride at the Oboke Yuransen (ravine pleasure boat) terminal, approximately 30 minutes on foot or five minutes by car from Oboke Station on the JR Dosan Line.

Appreciate the splendor of Tokushima's Oboke Gorge on a 30-minute sightseeing boat. After boarding the boat, take off your shoes and relax on tatami mats as you ride the current down the river, allowing plenty of time to admire the emerald-colored water and rock walls towering above.

There are beautiful sights to appreciate in all four seasons, with snow-capped mountains in the winter, wild cherry trees coloring the hillside in spring, the fresh new green leaves in summer, and the colored leaves of autumn. You may even catch glimpses of wildlife, including birds of prey, wild deer, and monkeys.

The boat will return upstream to take you back to the dock.
