You can reach the museum by train.

The Fukuoka Asian Art Museum is located in the Hakata Riverain building in the center of the city, immediately above the Nakasu-Kawabata subway station. From Tenjin or Hakata stations, take the Kuko Line and get out at Nakasu-Kawabata subway station.
