Inaba Senbonzakura Cherry Blossoms 因幡千本桜 桜の園

Eat, drink, and be merry under gorgeous cherry blossoms

Each year thousands of families, friends, sports teams, and other organizations gather in this corner of Tottori's Coca-Cola West Sports Park to picnic under the cherry trees and admire the blossoms.

How to Get There

This park is located just outside the center of Tottori City and is accessible by bus.

Take the Yoshioka Bus from JR Tottori Station and get off at Fuse. The park is just a five-minute walk from the bus stop.

Almost a thousand cherry blossoms

Senbonzakura translates as “a thousand cherry blossoms.” While there are not quite 1,000 of the famous flowering trees, there are several hundred to be admired in this corner of the park. "Inaba" refers to an old name for eastern Tottori.

A great spot to meet the locals

Alcohol usually flows quite freely and hanami time is a great occasion to meet and interact with folks. With a couple of drinks onboard, many local people will feel encouraged to try some of the English they learned back at school or at university.
