Enjoy the breathtaking views of the verdant mountains, forests, and marshlands on the various courses. Admire the sapphire water gardens of the marshlands from atop a volcano, trek to majestic waterfalls, or take a stroll along the boardwalks.

Jododaira also features the Bandai Azuma Skyline, a remarkably beautiful roadway. While enjoyable by car, motorcyclists often speak of the beauty of the road, the flourishing green foliage in the spring and summer, and fiery bursts of reds and yellows that can be seen in the fall.

At the end of your expedition through Jododaira’s treasure trove of natural wonders, rest up at the Takayu Onsen, a hot spring village at the foot of the mountains. Choose from a number of rustic inns built in traditional Japanese architectural styles. Rejuvenate your body and mind with a soak in the free-flowing waters, with each inn offering a different hot spring experience. Let the waters, a milky turquoise color and rich with natural minerals, warm up your body as you gaze out at the mountains.

Access: From Tokyo Station, take the Tohoku Shinkansen to Fukushima Station (about one hour 30 minutes), then take the Fukushima Kotsu Bus to the Takayu stop (about 35 minutes), and walk about seven minutes to Takayu Onsen.
