Mt. Mitake has a cable car and can be easily hiked.

Musashi Mitake Shrine is located at the summit of the 929-meter-high Mt. Mitake, which has long been the object of mountain worship as a sacred mountain in the Kanto region.

The shrine is also known as one that enshrines a wolf as a guardian deity, "Oinu-sama," which is a household deity of Yamatotakeru, a legendary hero in ancient Japanese history. The shrine is known for the large number of people who visit with their dogs.
