The onboard dress code is “Elegant Casual.” ASUKA III offers a wide range of itineraries, from 2-night, 3-day cruises to cruises around Japan, as well as international cruises. ASUKA Ⅱ offers a wide variety of cruise experiences. Inheriting the tradition of operating vessels that has been passed down for over 140 years, including the era of cargo-passenger ships, the company is expanding the cruise brand MITSUI OCEAN CRUISES. Under the concept of “Beautiful Japanese Cruise Experience,” they will deliver a high-quality cruise with a two-ship fleet, MITSUI OCEAN SAKURA and MITSUI OCEAN FUJI.
MITSUI OCEAN SAKURA
The MITSUI OCEAN SAKURA will begin operations as a Japanese-flagged ship in September 2026. Taking advantage of its compact hull with a total length of under 200 meters, the ship will expand a variety of itineraries, focusing on short- and medium-term cruises departing from and arriving at various parts of Japan. Similar to MITSUI OCEAN FUJI, the guest rooms are all suites with ocean views. Approximately 90% of the guest rooms are equipped with a veranda, offering an extraordinary experience on the ocean.
MITSUI OCEAN FUJI
The MITSUI OCEAN FUJI began operations in December 2024 as a foreign-flagged vessel. All 229 guest rooms are suites with ocean views. The comfortable spaces – measuring 24.4 square meters or more – along with private verandas in approximately 90 percent of the rooms, create a special time during your stay. Leveraging its hull length of under 200 meters, the ship can visit smaller ports of call, offering a unique cruise experience that journeys through both domestic and international destinations.

This floating ryokan travels across the Seto Inland Sea. Designed by architect Yasushi Horibe, guntû features 17 wood-paneled cabins and a silver hull that reflects the changing colors of the sun and water. The vessel’s gabled roofline is reminiscent of the traditional coastal homes.
SEFU by R Yacht Co., Ltd.
SEFU
Scheduled to debut in 2027, SEFU is a yacht-style cruise ship with 60 rooms and accommodation for 120 guests. It features a marina at its stern, allowing guests to disembark on small boats and participate in maritime activities. Guests can enjoy islands-themed interior spaces designed by world-renowned designer Gwenael Nicolas.
