Unique shops and restaurants in the city where two cultures meet

Fussa City, Tokyo

🄫FussaCity

Fussa City is located in the western part of Tokyo. There are distinct cultures that have been cultivated on the east and west sides of the city bordering JR Fussa Station. On the east side of the city, along National Route 16 facing Yokota Air Base, there is an exotic, Western, American city-style atmosphere. At Fussa American House, which was built in 1958 as a US military house, you can learn about the history and culture of that time.

On the west side, there are two sake breweries along Tamagawa Josui that have been in existence since the late Edo period (1603-1867). This side has a Japanese atmosphere that gives you a sense of history and Japanese tradition, such as the rich natural scenery around the water and the scattered cultural sightseeing assets. In Fussa, you can truly experience a fusion of two distinct cultures.
