Stroll along the slopes lined with 10,000 red and white plum trees
Every year, from mid-February to the end of March, approximately 10,000 red and white plum blossoms in full bloom spread along the slopes of the valley. Tsukigase Plum Valley has been one of the most popular plum flower viewing spots in the Kansai region. Matsuo Basho, one of the best-known Haiku poets in the 16th century, expressed his amazement in his Haiku poetry which can be found inscribed on a stone monument standing in the valley. You can also enjoy the views of about 3,000 cherry blossoms in early April.
