Walk the path of Japan's Edo Period past on the Nakasendo.
One of the five major roads of Japan from the 17th to mid-19th century, it supported travellers on their way between the former capital of Kyoto, and the new capital of Edo (present-day Tokyo).
Along the trail are a number of post towns, whose immaculately preserved townscapes will make you feel as if you've slipped back in time.
