【Partners Information】People of Kagoshima is a project started by two Kagoshima residents, who hope to shine a light on the real lives and stories of local everyday people in their prefecture.
The idea was born out of its creators' early experiences of living in Japan - sitting in small local restaurants or bars, enjoying delicious food, drink, and the kindness of strangers, but at the same time not able to communicate on a deeper level due to a lack of common language ability.
Always left wondering about who these people really were, the kind of lives they had led, and their dreams and goals for the future, they set out to tell the world tell their stories.

People of Kagoshima is a video project that introduces craftspeople, artisans, artists, chefs, businesspeople, and a whole host of other characters from across the prefecture.
