Snowshoe Trek to Frozen Waterfalls in Senninzawa Ice Garden!

Hyobaku, created when a waterfall freezes up, is a type of ice art created by nature that can only be seen in a limited number of places in Japan. In Kaminoyama City, Yamagata Prefecture, there is a spectacular Hyobaku, about 30 meters high and dozens of meters wide that appears only during the winter. The "Ice Fall Tour Snow Trekking in Yamagata" is a great way to enjoy this breathtaking scenery up close.

On this tour you will walk through the soft fresh snow, admiring the fantastic Juhyo (frost-covered trees) fields, before putting on some snowshoes and heading towards the Senninzawa Ice Garden. There, you will find a beautiful icy world that looks like a scene from a movie-a sight so mystical that you will forget about the cold.
