Downhill Thrills at One of Japan’s Largest Mountain Bike Parks

With 16 courses at three different difficulty levels, Fujimi Panorama Resort Mountain Bike Park offers something for everyone

With mountains covering three-quarters of its landmass, Japan is the perfect country for mountain biking. And as one of Japan’s biggest mountain bike parks, Fujimi Panorama Resort Mountain Bike Park offers all the rocks, tree roots, bumps, jumps and drop-offs the most hardcore biker could ever want.

Designed by revolutionary trail builder Yuta Urashima, who has also built courses in Austria and New Zealand, the park boasts a total of 15 interconnecting trails: six for beginners, five for intermediates, and four for advanced riders. Urashima claims that “three full days is not enough” to experience everything the park offers.

Starting at an altitude of 1,050 meters and topping out at 1,780 meters, the park offers a juicy 730-meter height drop from top to bottom. Two chairlifts and a gondola make it easy to reach the summit. From the top, take a moment to enjoy the stunning panoramic views of Mt. Fuji and the Yatsugatake mountain range.

Mountain bikes and biking equipment are available for rental and beginners can practice before venturing onto the trails in the Skill Improvement Area.
