BEAT THE HEAT IN JAPAN
July and August are the summer months in Japan. They are characterized by hot and humid days and cooler evenings. The heat can be avoided by doing indoor activities like shopping inside a mall, eating at a restaurant or enjoying inside the facilities like teamLab or Miraikan. The evenings can be spent by participating in gorgeous festivals like the fireworks festival or the Nebuta festival etc.

teamLab Planets, located in Toyosu, Tokyo is a museum where people can get absorbed in art forms. The arts change with people entering the museum. Sumida Aquarium is a park like aquarium where a person can sit on a chair amidst the rippling water. If someone is interested in a particular creature, they can ask the staff about it and know certain trivial facts about the creatures. The theme of the aquarium is the more you know, the more you get closer. Located on 5th and 6th floor of TOKYO SKYTREE TOWN Solamachi it can be easily added to the itinerary.

OSAKA
Osaka Aquarium Kaiyukan mainly with the theme of Pacific Ocean has other themes like “Japan Forests”, “Antarctica” also. The main tank has 5,400 tons of water. The aquarium houses 30,000 creatures of 620 species. The varieties of Jelly fish, seals, whale sharks, Manta Rays, dolphins will amaze the tourists.
The night aquarium with a subtle blue hue can be an ideal dating spot for romantic couples.

Abeno Harukas Observatory situated on the 58th, 59th and 60th floor of the 300m tall Abeno Harukas building presents the guests with the opportunity to get a panoramic view of Osaka city. In the morning guests can enjoy a spectacular view of Mt. Yoshino and Mt. Ikoma and in the evening they can enjoy the dazzling view of airplanes landing at or taking off from Kansai International Airport and Itami Airport.

COOLER PLACES:
Hokkaido, in the north of Japan, situated at a higher altitude has soothing summers the average temperature reaching to 25 degrees centigrade. Guests can easily travel to the capital of Hokkaido, Sapporo by flight. Early July to the mid of July is the best period to view the lavender fields. Farm Tomita, Japan’s one of the famous lavender farming fields is easily accessible by train. A special train called Furano Lavender Express runs from Sapporo to Furano from June to September in this year.

From mid-July to mid-August Sapporo Summer Festival takes place in Sapporo Odori Beer Garden. Generally, they offer unlimited drinks for 90 minutes.
Over 10,000 people can eat and drink in Odori park. Local brews as well as German brew will be available during this festival. Odori Park is in the city center and accessible by bus, train, taxi and on foot from your hotel in city center.

TAKE A DIP:
Japan’s southernmost islands, Okinawa has pristine beaches and emerald sea. To escape the heat guests can take a dip in the cool waters, can swim with a whale in the Blue Caves or can swim with a turtle in Ishigaki island.
Apart from the water activities, some interesting indoor facilities like Churaumi Aquarium, Okinawa World, limestone caves are also there.
The Churaumi Aquarium has natural coral reefs, 8.8 m long whale sharks and manta rays. Also, some rare species like flame snappers, black snoek, luminescent shrimp which live 200 m or 700 m deep in the sea can be witnessed in this aquarium.
Okinawa World is a park where a person can experience cultural activities like glass making, or participating in Eisa dance, also one can walk through the natural limestone caves to get that feeling of discovering unknown.
