Take a spiritual route through Kansai’s many cities

Kansai, the southern central region of Japan, is best known for its major cities of Kyoto, Osaka and Kobe, all renowned for their traditional culture. But it stretches in all directions to include many other prefectures such as Fukui, Shiga, Mie, Nara, Wakayama, Tottori and Tokushima.

Spiritual Kansai invites you to explore the region in its entirety, to embrace its traditions, customs and nature in experiences that foster a sense of wellbeing.

View the sun as it rises above the horizon, over the curves of mountains and above the lines of coasts and roads. Wander through beautiful Japanese gardens and traditional temples, walk along old pilgrimage routes such as the Kumano Kodo, and soak in the therapeutic waters of a hot spring bath.

Immerse yourself in various experiences, be it martial arts, Buddhist cuisine, a tea ceremony or nature’s autumnal changes in color.

Kansai is a region of stunning nature, meditation and hospitality — a space to decompress the body and mind.
