See the winter cherry blossoms together with the autumn leaves at Jomine Park
Saitama Prefecture
Jomine Park is located in the beautiful rural town of Kamikawa, just northwest of Tokyo. Jomine Park is well-known for beautiful flowers such as azaleas and cherry blossoms in spring, and above all, cherry blossoms in winter. The winter cherry blossoms bloom from the middle of October to the beginning of December, creating a beautiful contrast with the vivid red and yellow autumn leaves. From late October to early December, the winter cherry blossoms and autumn leaves are lit up, creating a mystical atmosphere. On the last Sunday of October, the winter cherry blossom festival is held, and many people come to enjoy eating local foods and buying local specialties. Unlike the cherry blossoms blooming in other parts of Japan, the rare winter cherry blossoms are cute pale pink flowers that bloom bit by bit from late autumn to early winter.
Aside from viewing the winter cherry blossoms, visitors can enjoy outdoor activities as well. Jomine Park has a campsite with 16 bungalows, where students and families can stay and enjoy.
