Nagano | Iiyama Nanohana Park

Come see the beautiful  Nozawa Nanohama rapeseed blossoms at the Nanohana festival

Nanohana Park is a public park where fields of rapeseed blossoms grow next to the Chikuma River and a well-known sunset spot in Nagano Prefecture. The ideal time to see Nanohana is around the end of April. The Nanohana festival is hosted every year at the beginning of May during the Golden Week holiday period. The "Nozawa Nanohana" variety of rapeseed blossoms that grow here are not the type that is used for rapeseed oil but are rather used in local delicacies. Their stems are pickled and sold as snacks at the festival. At the festival, you can enjoy the parade, fashion shows, live music and all kinds of other events that coincide with the bloom of Nanohana blossoms.
