A Gallery Among Gardens: Ishibashi Museum of Art

【Partners Information】Currently on display at the Ishibashi Museum of Art in Fukuoka Prefecture is “The Ishibashi Collection”, which is said to be one of the best in Japan.

The quality and number of works is comparable to western impressionist exhibits on display at its sister-museum, the Bridgestone Museum of Art.

The Ishibashi Museum of Art has on display the masterpieces of artists from Kyushu whom are unforgettable in the history of modern Japanese painting, namely Aoki Shigeru, Sakamoto Hanjiro, and Koga Harue, all from Kurume City.

In spring, inside the garden grounds, 2600 bushes of 400 kinds of roses bloom throughout the seasons. You can see, hear, smell, touch and taste them, so you can enjoy the roses with all five of your senses.
