This is an exciting two-day annual event using hexagonal kites from Saturday to Sunday in late May to early June in Sanjo, Niigata Prefecture.
As many as 30 groups fly their hexagonal kites in a spirited battle in the sky above Sanjo city.
This hexagonal kites are known overseas as “Sanjo Rokkaku”, as the city is the birthplace of these hexagonal kites.
In addition to the kite battles, the event will host food vendors and performances from locals.
