Experience Culinary Excellence at ESqUISSE
World-class French cuisine at one of Tokyo’s top tables
ESqUISSE, a French eatery helmed by renowned chef Lionel Beccat that opened in Tokyo’s Ginza district in 2012, has made quite a splash as one of the top tables in the city. Along with his Japanese partner, General Manager Eiji Wakabayashi, who is an expert in wine, Beccat has created one of the hottest restaurants in Tokyo. In its first year, ESqUISSE was recognized by a famous European restaurant guide, catapulting it to the top of many visitors' must-dine lists.
ESqUISSE means “sketch” or “rough outline” in Beccat’s native French, but the meals presented here are fully-fledged masterpieces. ESqUISSE offers what Beccat calls a “menu spontane”, drawing on whatever ingredients are in season and inspire the chef in the kitchen. Dishes change daily, always featuring the best of seasonal Japanese ingredients brought to new life with refined French cooking techniques. Standout dishes may include combinations like abalone with liver sauce, fried shrimp appetizers accented with cilantro, or seasonal mushrooms paired with truffle consomme.
ESqUISSE is open for both lunch and dinner, with multiple course options available for each meal. Wine pairings are also available, with drinks hand-picked by veteran sommeliers to perfectly complement the dishes.
