Four Seasons of Adventures at in Niseko

Year-round activities, fun, and adventure in Hokkaido's great outdoors

Abounding in natural beauty, the mountains, forests, ocean and rivers that surround Niseko Hanazono Resort offer plenty of activities to refresh and invigorate visitors holidaying with family and friends. Located in one of the largest joint resort areas in Hokkaido, Hanazono is easy to access and family-friendly, with various modern facilities and elegant accommodations. While the area is world-renowned as a popular winter destination for skiers and snowboarders, it also boasts a wide range of outdoor adventures that visitors can enjoy throughout the warmer seasons.

One particularly popular activity is river rafting on the crystal-clear Shiribetsu River. Whether you are a beginner or more experienced on the water, you're sure to enjoy the aquatic excitement and scenic nature as you paddle downstream. For those seeking an adrenaline-fueled excursion, tour the river on a faster-paced inflatable kayak or explore deep pools, falls, and rushing waters on the canyoning course. Head to the forest to enjoy various hiking trails and spectacular views of the region, or climb, scramble, and zipline your way through the network of adventure courses that are suspended among the trees. Along the shoreline, experience kayaking or ocean fishing as you breathe in the salty breeze and discover Hokkaido’s stunning seascapes.

Access: By train, travel from Sapporo Station to Otaru Station (about 35 minutes), then      transfer to the Hakodate Line train to Kutchan Station (about two hours) and      take a taxi to the resort (about 10 minutes).      Alternatively, it is about two hours by car from Sapporo Station.
