Look at the horizon and feel the roundness of the Earth from Kaiyodai

From Kaiyodai, which is located on a plateau at an altitude of 270m, you can enjoy magnificent views unique to Hokkaido. When you look around, you can see a meadow area that stretches endlessly below like a green carpet. There is nothing to block the scenery, and if you look at the horizon between the blue sky and the green, you can feel the roundness of the earth. About 1,000 dairy cows graze on the ranch on the west side of Kaiyodai, and you can see them nearby by descending to the plaza or the promenade in the ranch. At night, the sky is studded with countless stars, creating a fantastic landscape that really makes you wonder: are there so many stars in the universe? Visit Kaiyodai to feel the essence of Japan's northernmost island.
How to get there
Nakashibetsu Airport is about 1 hour 40 minutes from Haneda Airport by plane. Kaiyodai is about 15 minutes by car/taxi from Nakashibetsu Airport.
