Luxury in a Spectacular Alpine Setting
Hachimantai DMO, Inc.
Nestled between two of Japan’s most famous mountains in Northern Tohoku, Mt. Iwate and Mt. Hachimantai, the city of Hachimantai strikes visitors by the beauty of its green scenery, the purity of its air, the mildness of its summer, and spectacular autumn color scenery before winter covers everything with a blanket of world-class powder snow.
Within this spectacular alpine setting, ANA InterContinental Appi Kogen Resort, a brand-new hotel, opened in February 2022. It embodies international luxury, overlooking stunning ski slopes in the winter that magically transform into vibrant green scenery in the spring. Start your day with a succulent breakfast at Club Intercontinental, with a sunrise view from Mt. Iwate, and then rejuvenate in the spacious onsen. During the day, experience their luxury spa before marveling at the star-studded night sky from the rooftop terrace and finishing up the evening at Shiratsuyu restaurant, where you will be offered a selection of fantastic Japanese dishes and a wide variety of local sake and wines. The traditional Japanese onsen baths that they offer—the IWA and HINOKI—made of rock and cypress respectively, give an experience that is unmatched elsewhere. Conclude your perfect day at the bar MoCCo with a selection of Japanese whisky. Enjoy and relish every moment at ANA InterContinental Appi Kogen Resort.
