On September 6th, 2018 at approximately 3:00 am JST (6:00 pm GMT), a strong earthquake (Magnitude 6.7) occurred in the Iburi region in southwestern Hokkaido, Japan's northern island.

At New Chitose Airport, the operations of domestic flights have been partially resumed on September 7th. On September 8th, most domestic flights and all international flights are scheduled to be operated. Please see the website below for the latest information.

JR Hokkaido resumed its normal service of limited express trains on September 14th, in addition to Hokkaido Shinkansen and Rapid Airport Trains. There are still a few local train lines that are delayed or suspended. Please check the latest information on the following websites.
As of September 20th, operations on the Hokkaido Shinkansen between Shin-Hakodate-Hokuto Station and Tokyo Station has resumed. Also JR Rapid Airport trains between Sapporo Station and New Chitose Airport has resumed regular operation.
In Sapporo city, Sapporo Municipal Subway and Tram lines have also started to resume regular operations.
However plaease note that Limited Express Suzuran No.1 has been suspended. Alternatively, extra train will be operated in the same section. For the latest information, please check the following websites.
