Firstly, experience ATVs (four-wheeled buggy) at Wonderland Sapporo - an activity resort 25 minutes by car from downtown Sapporo! Ride an open-air four-wheeled buggy over rivers, through dense forests and into the pristine wilderness! You will be impressed by the spectacular views and experiences available only in Hokkaido. Afterwards, have lunch and head to the ski resort of Niseko, a place famous for skiing in winter.
Start the second day at Mt. Yotei, selected as one of the "One Hundred Mountains of Japan"! Take the famous cable car for a panoramic view from the observatory, then head to Rusutsu for canyoning - limited only in summer! You can come empty-handed and just rent a complete set of equipment for this tour. You can fully focus on enjoying the river activities; jumping into Niseko's clean and clear water; and even walking in it!
In the morning of Day 3, take a day hiking tour up the 1,308.2 meter-high Mt. Niseko-Annupuri to the summit while enjoying a spectacular mountain view! It takes about 2 hours to reach the summit and about 1 hour and a half going downhill. A professional guide will be with you throughout the hike and you can learn about local wildflowers while enjoying the hike. Also, you will be impressed by the stunning view of the Niseko mountain range and the Sea of Japan at the summit. After hiking, return to Furano via Sapporo.
In the morning, take a cycling tour and enjoy the lavender fields of Furano in summer! The rolling hills of Rokugo, Hitsujigaoka and Yahataoka are easy for children and beginners to cycle. Allow the fresh air of Furano and the vast landscape stretching out as far as the eye can see to rejuvenate your soul! After basking in the grandeur of nature, enjoy Jingisukan or steak, synonymous with Hokkaido's gourmet cuisine, for lunch.
On the last day, hop on a hot-air balloon at the Furano Ski Resort. The feeling of floating 20 metres above the ground as the hot-air balloon ascends into the air; the spectacular view of the breathtaking, endless countryside and the view of the Tokachi mountain range are definitely the highlights of the trip! After the activities, take a walk in the pristine nature of Biei. Don't forget to try the rich, creamy soft-serve ice cream made from milk produced in Biei.
