Enchanting craft village hidden in a magical forest

Imagine stepping into a fairy tale forest that looks like a page out of a children’s picture book. Named after mystical dwarves who are believed to live in the forest, Ningle Terrace is a picturesque village of quaint wooden cottages tucked in the forest just steps away from Shin Furano Prince Hotel.

Far from just a picturesque attraction, the village is home to 15 shops that take up residence in these cottages. There are specialty craft shops where you can watch artisans in action or take home their one-of-a-kind wares for a unique handmade souvenir. There are also cafes to quench your thirst or indulge yourself with local goodies like cakes, cheeses and ice creams.

A series of steps and boardwalks connect these cottages, creating a delightful walkway lined with fairy lights that give this village an enchanting atmosphere when the sun goes down. Winter brings along with it a blanket of soft snow that paints the village in white for that warm, festive glow when the fairy lights come on.
