Kutsurogi no Yado - Umi-akari in Himi Onsenkyo, located along the Nadaura Coast faces beautiful Toyama bay in Toyama Prefecture and takes in pure hot spring water flowing from the source spring.
In front of the large open-air bath lies the sprawling Toyama bay and one can enjoy the alluring sight of north alps over the bay throughout the seasons. Early risers can spend a blissful morning witnessing the grand sight of the sunrise over the 3,000m Tateyama mountain range from afar.
The night view of graceful fishing-fire (by fishing boats) on the bay is also another spectacular sight to observe.
Do also remember to treat yourself to feasts of freshly caught seafood such as the nationwide popular Himi winter yellowtail which tastes best in winter; as well as tasty plump oysters at Himi Banyagai, a market outside Himi Fishing Port

How to get there :From Tokyo, take the Hokuriku Shinkansen for about 2 hours & 30 minutes and get off at JR Shin-Takaoka Station. Then, it is about 50 minutes by express bus until Iwaido Onsen.
