A unique culinary experience next to the world's largest display of jellyfish!

During this special sushi-workshop, visitors will watch and learn how to prepare a freshly caught fish into sushi-grade sashimi by one of Tohoku's most renown chefs. After watching in awe at the skillful demonstration, guests will try their own hand at transforming the sashimi into delicious nigiri and hand-rolled sushi made using local 'Tsuyahime' brand rice, before enjoying a decadent seafood lunch or dinner featuring their own hand-made sushi!

The entire workshop will take place inside Chef Takeshi Suda's specialty seafood restaurant located inside the Kamo Aquarium in Tsuruoka City. Kamo Aquarium is famous in its own right as boasting the world's largest display of jellyfish!

Tour time: approx. 2.5 hours, from 09:30 ~ or 16:00

By car: 30 min drive from Tsuruoka Station, 20 min drive from Shonai Airport

By bus: Take the Shonai Kotsu local bus from JR Tsuruoka Station, alighting at 'Kamo Suizokukan' (30 mins)
