The art of Tosa Washi Papermaking

Trace the 1,000-year history of Tosa Washi Paper at Ino-cho Paper Museum, a facility that promotes the traditional paper-making methods of Kochi Prefecture. The museum exhibits the history and culture of washi-making and a gallery where you can examine the collections of ancient tools used and learn what roles it performed throughout history. Offering free demonstrations of the nagashizuki papermaking technique, you can also try your hand at making your very own Tosa Washi paper with the guidance of professional papermakers.

When to go: All year
