Located about 20 km away from Akanko Onsen, Lake Onneto is surrounded by one of the last remaining Sakhalin spruce forests in Hokkaido. Enjoy a guided hike through this beautiful wooded landscape, home to various alpine plants, mushrooms, and the black woodpecker.

Autumn is an especially lovely time to visit. The bright foliage of the forest against the clear blue water of the lake make for splendid photos to remember your visit by.
