Hiking
Hike through beautiful fir forests as you make your way to the summit of Mount Higashi-Azuma.
This short hiking trail starts at Jododaira, passing through marshland and Maries' fir forests. You will reach the peak of Mount Higashi-Azuma (1,975 m) in under 2 hours, where you will be rewarded with panoramic views. The hike finishes at Torikodairaguchi on the Bandai-Azuma Skyline road.
Jododaira
Depart Jododaira and take the trail on the left at the first fork. After climbing a series of steep steps, you will arrive at Ubagahara. A beautiful fir forest surrounds the path from Ubagahara and Mount Higashi-Azuma. When you arrive at the summit, enjoy panoramic views of Mount Bandai, Mount Issaikyo, Mount Azuma-Kofuji and Lake Inawashiro.
Ponds along the trail to Keibidaira
Serene ponds and wetlands dot the trail from Mount Higashi-Azuma to Keibadaira. On the way, you will find an observation deck with great views of the surrounding landscape. Proceed past Keibadaira to reach the Torikodairaguchi entrance of the Bandai-Azuma Skyline.
