Nageire-do Hall is part of Sanbutsuji Temple, founded in 706, and is considered Japan’s most dangerous National Treasure. Take a pilgrimage with a history guide who will take you past multiple halls built into and around large rocks and caves before you reach Nageire-do Hall, built into a precipitous cliff face on Mount Mitoku (900 m). A true once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.

Available Year-round. Closed for temple events, inclement weather, and heavy snowfall.
Duration 1 hours 30 minutes to 2 hours
Cost Adults (age 13 and over): 1,200 yen, children (ages 7 to 12): 600 yen, infants (age 6 and under): free *Infants may attend but only up to the Sanbutsuji Hondo main hall. Guide fee: 18,000 yen/group. English-language guide can be arranged (additional fee required).
