Rafting in Daisetsuzan

Parks Overview Parks Overview

A guide service for river rafting, whitewater kayaking, packrafting, and other paddle sports on the Ishikari River, including in Daisetsuzan National Park.

Japan’s northernmost rafting company. Our tours take you down the Ishikari River, a river whose appearance changes with the seasons. In spring and early summer, you can enjoy exciting river rafting thanks to the snow melting off of Daisetsuzan.

In summer when the river volume is calm, have fun in the cooling waters. In the autumn, go river rafting while taking in the vibrant fall colors. The Sounkyo Obako Kobako Course is a particularly noteworthy Ishikari River rafting course, and along it you can view the columnar-jointed canyon near Sounkyo and countless cascading waterfalls.
