Island Hopping in the Keramas

Discover Keramashoto National Park on an island-hopping trip around Tokashikijima, Zamamijima and Akajima islands

Take a regular ferry or high-speed boat from Tomari Port on Okinawa's main island to the islands of Tokashikijima, Akajima and Zamamijima. Stay the night—or several—on one or more of the islands and explore Keramashoto's beautiful landscapes and stunning blue waters. The Kerama Islands offer a variety of marine sports activities, sightseeing, and striking panoramic views from several of the islands' hilltop observatories.

For getting around the islands, Mitsushima Ferry operates inter-island services between Zamamijma (Zamami Port), Akajima (Aka Port) and Tokashikijima (Aharen Port). Daily trips between Akajima and Zamamijima do not require reservations. Reservations are required for traveling between Tokashikijima's Aharen Port and Akajima or Zamamijima. Reservations can be made through the Zamami Village Office the day before travel.

For a detailed transportation schedule, consult the official Zamami Village website: https://www.vill.zamami.okinawa.jp/info/trans.html (Japanese with machine-translated English available).
