A visit to Kirishima-jingu Shrine is always an exceptional experience, but this activity helps to make it yet more memorable. Women can choose from over 90 kimono, while men may select from eight different ensembles. Men's hakama are also available. After donning your chosen outfit, strike a pose next to the symbolic vermilion arches on the approach to the main shrine.

Note that trying on a kimono or traditional costume is temporarily suspended at Kirishima-jingu Shrine.

Cost Adults: 4,000 yen. Not available for all-male groups. Participants must be 130 cm or taller to wear available kimono. Reservations must be made online at least 5 days in advance. Please bring tabi socks or be prepared to purchase/rent a pair for 500 yen.
