Parks Overview Parks Overview

Experience the forest of 400-year-old cedars and other huge tree varieties around Togakushi-jinja Okusha Shrine, walk on a frozen lake, and enjoy coffee time using a table made out of snow.

The pleasure of stepping on fresh snow and walking trackless paths will have you hooked. The ponds are frozen, all the smaller plants are buried under snow, and the trees are decked out in a gorgeous coating of white.

The sound of your own footsteps and breath as you trod on the snow in an otherwise silent world. The footprints of rabbits and foxes left on the snow surface. In winter, when everything is covered with snow, you can walk freely and explore a forest of giant trees in a way only possible during this season.
