Oze National Park

Snowcat Backcountry Skiing and Snowboarding in Oze

Parks Overview Parks Overview

Trace a line through untouched birch forest coverd in powder, far away from the crowds

A section of the national highway in Hinoemata Village, the gateway to Oze from Fukushima Prefecture, closes in winter, making it the perfect spot for backcountry skiing or snowboarding. You will traverse the snow-covered, birch-lined landscape between runs on a snowcat, snowmobile, or snow raft, so there's no hiking involved. Your knowledgeable local guide will custom-design a ski or snowboarding course for you based on the weather and conditions on the day.
