Hike low mountain trails with views of the Seto Inland Sea
The popular Shimanami Kaido route between Hiroshima and Ehime hops across several islands in the Seto Inland Sea, many with mountains under 500 meters. These low mountains have well-maintained, easy-to-walk trails. Walk the mountain of your choice to a summit observatory affording sweeping views of the area. The hikes take around 45 to 60 minutes one way, and are suitable for most fitness levels. One-way car transportation can be arranged for the descent.
