Climb Majestic Mount Rausu

Parks Overview Parks Overview

Summit Mount Rausu for spectacular views over Shiretoko and the Sea of Okhotsk

Although Mount Rausu is just 1,661 meters above sea level, climbers will find banks of snow, even in July. The climb to the top takes around 10-12 hours for the round trip through varied terrain, with some rest stops along the way. Climb past snowfields and alpine blooms to enjoy the views from the summit on a guided climb. Mount Rausu is the highest mountain in Shiretoko, a UNESCO World Natural Heritage Site.
