Small-Boat Brown Bear Watching Cruise Along the Utoro Route

Parks Overview Parks Overview

Sail along the coast and spot Hokkaido's largest land predators

Take a tour aboard a small motorboat to the tip of Cape Shiretoko and toward the Utoro area near Kashuni-no-Taki Waterfall. Because the boat is small, you can enjoy a jet-like, thrilling sensation while cruising! Thanks to the maneuverability unique to small boats, you can get very close to the shoreline, greatly increasing the chances of seeing brown bears that come down to the water’s edge in search of salmon, trout, and other food! You are sure to enjoy an impressive observation experience.<br>*Because bear sightings are frequent, and because taking photos may take some time, the tour may not reach Kashuni-no-Taki Waterfall. Please note that the boat may turn back before reaching the waterfall in the case of a schedule adjustment.
