Experience the serene landscape of Shiretoko in deep winter
Put on snowshoes and journey through the wintry landscape of the Shiretoko Five Lakes on special roads that are closed to traffic during the winter. This is the ultimate three-hour tour that gives visitors an intimate view of the park, from the wetlands that are inaccessible in the summer to walking on the surface of a frozen lake. This experience is available only to limited numbers of people per day, so be sure to reserve in advance.
