【Partners Information】The sacred mountain of Koyasan is one of the best places to enjoy Autumn leaves in Wakayama. The bright red leaves match the crimson architecture of the temples for some truly spectacular scenery. One of the best autumn leaf locations is Jabaramichi, the small road between the entrance of Kongobuji temple and the Danjyo Garan Complex. The trees flanking either side of the road create a natural tunnel of red leaves.
Round out your visit with a stop at Konpon Daito Pagoda, try a Buddhist vegetarian meal complete with sesame tofu, and take a stroll to Okuno-in temple.
The best time to visit Koyasan to see the beautiful Autumn foilage is from late October to early November.
