MIMARU Kyoto Kawaramachi Gojo has reopened as of October 1st, 2023, just in time for Kyoto's beautiful autumn colors! As the largest MIMARU hotel in Kyoto, guests can choose from 10 different room types, including Pokémon-themed rooms, for their stay. The hotel also has an on-site gym, and is a great choice for families with children, large groups of 6-8 people, and long-term stays.
MIMARU Kyoto Kawaramachi Gojo is the largest of the 7 MIMARU hotels in Kyoto, with 96 rooms. You can choose the room type that best fits your family or travel group from a wide variety, including 40㎡ rooms designed for families and groups (maximum capacity of 4 people), spacious 60 ㎡ rooms (maximum capacity of 4-6 people), connecting rooms that can house up to groups of 8, or the worldwide fan-favorite Pokémon rooms. Within the hotel, you will find a fitness gym, entertainment room, and outdoor terrace to enjoy. Mimaru has also introduced a luggage storage service for before and after your stay, as well as in-between if you have multiple reservations! Mimaru supports mid- to long-term stays for trips and workcations that are based in Kyoto. Reservations went online in August 2023. Reservations for the autumn colors season as well as the Thanksgiving and Christmas seasons are still available (as of September 29, 2023).
In addition to capacity guests, up to 2 children 6 years old and younger can stay and share beds with adults for free in all rooms. While many visitors to Japan travel with their families or in groups, finding hotels designed to comfortably accommodate such large groups can be challenging in most urban areas.
