The Jozenji Street Jazz Festival is a regular fall event in Sendai, and will be held this year on September 9 and 10. During this free festival, music stages can be found throughout central Sendai, including zelkova tree-lined Jozenji Street, the symbol of Sendai, as well as shopping arcades and parks, filling the city with lively music. Professional and amateur music groups from both Japan and abroad take the stage, covering various musical genres such as jazz, rock, world music, and gospel music.
