DAY 1

On the day of your arrival, you will take the train to Sawara in Chiba for some strawberry-picking at Sawara River Farm. Afterwards, you will stay overnight at NIPPONIA, where the entire Sawara Merchant Town has been turned into a hotel. This area has the Edo period vibe, including the 100-year old merchant houses renovated into inns. Exclusive services for guests are also available at the partner stores and restaurants.

DAY 2

After enjoying the town of Sawara on a boat tour, visit Ibaraki to experience glamping at the Lapopo Namegata Farmers Village. It is a hands-on agricultural theme park where you can harvest crops and taste seasonal vegetables. At night, have a barbecue under the stars, relax and enjoy your glamping stay amidst the rich nature.

DAY 3

Head to Kashima Jingu Shrine in Kashima City, the largest and oldest shrine in the Kanto region. This prestigious shrine has many cultural assets, including a national treasure sword and important cultural properties, such as the main shrine and worship hall. For lunch, devour seafood dishes such as Kashima-nada Hamaguri, a local specialty. In the afternoon, take a stroll along the promenade by the edge of Lake Senba, Mito's famous cherry blossom viewing spot. In the evening, enjoy the night view from the observatory lobby of the Ibaraki Prefectural Government Building.

DAY 4

Kairakuen Garden is one of the three most famous gardens in Japan boasting of historical architecture and seasonal flowers. During the Plum Blossom Festival and Cherry Blossom Festival, you can also enjoy the illuminated flowers. In the afternoon, we will visit the brewery of Sudo Honke, Japan's oldest sake brewery, which is committed to the natural process and taste of sake without filtration. It is also known for its efforts towards sustainability. The tour offers free sake tasting.

DAY 5

Time to go to Tokyo! A helicopter cruise will take you to some of the most spectacular sites that can only be seen from the sky. Don't forget to take some photos! Afterward, you will head to Katsuura in Chiba, a surfing spot in Japan famous for its crystal clear waters. Try and enjoy SUP or stand up paddleboarding. Feel the sea breeze and the comfort of riding the rippling waves.

DAY 6

One of the three major morning markets in Japan, the Katsuura Morning Market has a history of more than 400 years. About 50 shops sell not only seafood and fresh vegetables, but also sweets and ready-to-eat cooked food while you stroll. Our local guides will take you to the market and other interesting places to visit in the area. Enjoy the refreshing morning tour of the market and the local specialties recommended by the guide.
