Nabana no Sato is a flower theme park in Kuwana, near Nagoya, with an abundance of seasonal flora. From mid-October to early May, the park is lit up at night by dazzling illumination displays - millions of LED lights. Separated into many different areas, including light shows over a river and the well-known instagrammable tunnels of lights, the winter illumination at Nabana no Sato is one of the largest light festivals in Japan and this spectacular display of lights is definitely worth seeing at least once in your lifetime.

Late February (to the beginning of March) is the best time to visit the plum blossom garden in the park, when the plum blossoms are in full bloom. Especially beautiful are the weeping plum blossoms. As part of the winter illumination which continues until early May, these plum blossoms are lit up at night, a truly breathtaking sight to behold. Do enjoy this rare sight of the fusion of blossoms and illumination accompanied by the fragrance of the blossoms!
