Kaneyu is a nationally registered tangible cultural property and a symbol of Noshiro City, which once prospered due to its natural Akita cedar lumber industry. Put on a kimono and enjoy a tour and photoshoot in an old restaurant building constructed using natural Akita cedar in the sukiya-zukuri style (residential architectural style with tea ceremony aesthetic elements). At Kaneyu, you will feel the culture of a Japanese restaurant from the good old days and the lavish atmosphere of Noshiro back when it was called Mokuto, the tree capital of Japan.

● 10 min walk from Noshiro Station (JR Gono Line)

● 15 min drive from Noshiro-Higashi IC and Noshiro-minami IC

    (From Akita Station) Take the Ou Line to Higashi-Noshiro

    (60 mins) and change to the Gono Line to Noshiro Station (5 mins).
