Experience a day in the life of a farming family
What better way to experience the 'real' local lifestyle of Japan by spending the night with a family in the countryside? Experience life just like one of the locals by visiting a farming family in Akita, participating in daily farming activities, cooking local cuisine and eating together! During this two-day, one-night package you will have the chance to participate in all of the above. The farming activities will vary with each season, but typically involve activities like fruit picking, tending to the rice/vegetable fields or even pickling vegetables. In the evening, your host family will teach you how to make local cuisine from fresh home-grown ingredients before sitting down to share a meal together. Make lasting memories and life-long friends as you get to know a whole new side to Japan!
